Please recommend a new tripod for me (budget minded) that will handle the weight of a 40D and a 70-200 2.8 IS.
Thanks!

Budget under $200? I have a $300 set up, 190XB and 488RC. I often use my 40D with 70-200 2.8 IS with this set up and it's very portable.

I have a similar bogen setup that works well for my 20d, 1.4x tc, and 70-200f4.
The only issue I've had is that I'm pretty tall and need to extend the center column to stand fully upright. In the future I plan to get a tripod with taller legs to increase stability (at least in my mind it will be more stable).
