My wife and I have these beautiful Amaryllis plants (you have probably seen them (http://www.amaryllis.com)). I got my 550D macro lens on my 24-105 with my 5D and put it on the BH-55 and it was a dream. Talk about no ball creep, no vibration, and the ability to focus so much closer with the 550D was enough to make my wife 'ooh' and 'ah' a bit. I was able to get detail completely inside the flower where the stamen originates (a bit creepy when you see it on the big screen). Not to mention I was using the CF Giottos tripod which is great and with the rubber feet on the cement on our porch, is was flawless.

I recommend this ballhead to anyone. It is well worth the money and I will never have to buy again.
