Will a 350D with the Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS fit in this bag? If so, will it work with the lens attached to the camera? And how much room is left for other essentials?

It certainly won't fit while attached to the camera (I can't get mine in the bag with the f/4 version of the lens). It's possible that you could squeeze them in separately, but I'm not even sure about that. I think you need a different bag for that gear...
