can someone advise me whats the best grip i can get for my 400d.

i already own 2 small batteries
am i best to just get another

Near the back of your instruction manual for the 400D, you'll find a listing of accessories available for that specific body. That would be a good place to start.

Whether you should get a battery grip, or an AC adapter, or neither, is a matter of personal choice and individual needs.

Try to be careful to select the best section of the forum for your questions. This is the flash forum, and your question would be better (and get more responses) in the accessories & storage section.

The BG-E2 is for the 20D/30D; the BG-E4 is for the 5d; you need the BG-E3.

if it takes the same grip as the 350D, there is a third party one that is an exact replica of the canon for half the price.. its the Opteka..i had it and it worked great!

i reccomend the opteka grip as well. i ordered it through amazon and its well worth the $70 to me.
