Been searching everywhere for some reviews on this product.

I currently use a set of 3011BN Manfrotto legs. I want to get one which is really light - will be holding to the 3011s also.

Checked out a few Gitzo options (which are too expensive for me) and then was left with Velbon, Slik, Dynatran and Feisol. The Slik looks to be really light - just 1.9lbs and has decent reach.

Would be happy to see any reviews before I pick it up.

I have the 613, which is the 614 with one less section to the legs (so only about 4 ft. max). It'll hold (with a 486RC2 head) a 20D/5D and 24-70 or 70-200 IS just fine and is nice and light. With the 614, that last segment in the legs is going to be pretty small, so that could let it get a bit too wobbly.

Thanks Jon. I am going to do a tour of the shops here - as they also recommend this brand called Benro. Not many reviews but the ones I see talk highly of the product as the 'Gitzo clone'.

I too thinking about picking up this Slik CF monopod and can't seem to find any reviews on them...
