Do you want wireless or wired?

if you want a wired, the RS-80N3 will let you press halfway to autofocus and then full press for the shutter. It's not super long, so you can't take self pictures from too far away.

You have the option of the RS-80N3

or the TC-80N3

The 20D does not have wireless.

Why dont you use Canons remote capture software if you have a laptop ? It should have come bundled with the software when you got the camera.

If you get one of the remotes there is a 33' extension cord you can get also.

there is a 33' extension cord you can get also.$75 US for a 33 ft piece of wire?

I don't mind paying good money for cutting-edge technology, but why does Canon have to screw us over on the accesories that cost so little to produce?

Check out one of these

I have one, works perfectly

If you want a longer one, just cut the cable and splice in whatever length that you want

I have the same one and it works fine and is much cheaper than the Canon one.;););)

Not sure, but the LC-4 may have been replaced by the LC-5, which is still pretty expensive at ~$420 US.

The 20D doesn't have a built in receiver to use a cheap remote such as the RC-1 ($25), but you certainly can purchase transmitters/receivers for wireless.
